At the time of our intervention, many students in Mamfe who had registered for computer science had little to no understanding of computers. Some did not know how to turn a computer on or off. Others had never interacted with a laptop before.
At the heart of STEMReach Buea Town are women who are already active in different trades and businesses. For these women, gaining basic tech training was not about changing who they are, but about adding value to their existing work and opening new doors for growth in the digital economy.
