Where two or three are gathered in the name of “advancing access and safety for women in tech”, datagirltech.com answers present!

It is all about the International Girls in ICT Day, 2022:

We came out fully to support the International Telecommunication Union’s initiative of setting aside a day to celebrate girls in the digital space and encourage more girls to join in.

This year, we rubbed minds and shared ideas on “access and safety” for girls in the tech ecosystem.

We recognize that in as much as encouraging more girls to take up spaces in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM) related careers, we need these girls to be safe online.

Just like any other thing with both positive and negative consequences, technology has its own glitch which sometimes exposes our girls to harm.

It is worth noting, hence, that your level of vulnerability is greatly dependent on your knowledge of how to navigate the digital world.

Meanwhile, Our students during the celebration had the opportunity to showcase one of their projects and the feedback was tremendous.

African Women In Tech Startup – AfricanWITS you did a great job pulling this off for Cameroon.
